flying in to saigon (HCMC) and out of bangkok 16 days later, as its such a short amout of time i want a half decent plan, i think i will skip northern vietnam and i am not fussed about spending time in thailand (done before) anyone got any idears for a route/best places to go, over nite transport would be ideal is this posible?

You need 6 days for Cambodia and travel back to BKK for your flight home. That leaves 10 days for VN. First day in HCM will be wasted unless you get in by noon. Try to get in the your first day. I suggest you spend your second day in HCM on a one day . Next day take a city tour. I would use for your tours and transport. That evening take an to Nha Trang. You get in early am. Get a , then book a bay tour for the next day. All hotels and travel shops will book it for you. I would then do some sightseeing. NT Cathedral, Long Son Pagoda, Po Nagar Cham Towers. Perhaps hit the Thap Ba Hot Springs after the Cham Towers to relax. Or forget the hot springs and go back to get in some beach time. You can hire a motorbike and do it yourself, use a taxi, a pedicab or go with an organized tour. Bay tour next day. covers my day on NT bay. Next day I would then head for either or . Depends on if you want another beach city or cool, green DaLat. covers my time in both cities. You have 2-3 days for either city, then bus back to HCMC. Next day take the to Phnom Penh. Or you can bypass PP and go straight to Siem Reap by . 2 days touring , then back to BKK.
