You'll probably be wanting to book a place soon, as accommodation in Sydney fills up quickly over that period - and hostels have been taking bookings. on Travellerspoint is probably a good starting point for youth hostels in Sydney.
i think allot of people on here,including myself are staying in the yha,the rocks!there having there on new years party which is meant to have a good view for the fireworks
christmas day i think were doing the traditional oz thing and having a bbq on the beach,ha
would love to razza but there are three of us and the rocks is fully booked ahhh well
any other suggestions peeps??? xxx
Try - I stayed there over Christmas and New Year in 2004 and it was pretty good.

Cool, yeah it's in a really good location and it's clean and sociable.
heys guys me and my partner are staying in nomands westend backpackers but there is a minimum of 10night stay over the x.mas/n.y.e period. seems to me ok cheap compared to others i have seen

Is anyone staying at the yha Sydney Harbour for xmas/nye? I am travelling alone and arrive 25th Dec for 8 nights, would be great to get to know few people before I go out there, espec in same accom. Im only in Oz for 3 weeks but am hoping to move up the coast from 2nd jan....anyone with the same plans? Im not used to travelling on my own but tres excited and hoping to meet loads of friendly people for a great nye :-))
