Heading to new york for new years, will be there 29th to 1st.
Just Google "NY Dinner Cruises" and you'll find many options.
I went on one of these about 10 years ago (one run by the Spirit cruise people) and it was great--although I did my trip in the summer and we were able to go out on deck as we passed the Statute of Liberty. I'm not sure if it would be as much fun in the winter, but I would think that it would still be great fun.
P.S. I'm not aware of any fireworks on New Years in New York--only on the 4th of July.
