Hello.
Call the police here from your country and ask if your wanted for theft. If you explain what you told us to them I'm sure they will understand. However the rental companies will be pissed off still and may have gone out of their way to wreck your credit score (if applicable to you in the UK im unsure). If your staying at the same residential address as where you registered the rented goods the Bailiffs may catch up with you...
Al the best...
Im too scared to even call the police. if they come to know im returning to UK they might be on alert. the total value of the goods was around 3000 pounds and that is a lot so i guess the rental companies wont have taken it easy. Im so scared, what if they contacted my university and with held my degree? is that possible? i dont know how the legal system works in the UK or for anywhere else for that matter. i was never involved in such activities before.
i did have a credit score and thats how he got those things on my name. he didnt have a credit score so he couldnt get anything on his card.
I think you should call a lawyer in the UK and get some solid advice. Maybe there is one on here. But mostly your just going to get opinions from TP. You need solid facts before you return. That would be my advice. You could probably do so online, even find a legal forum based in the UK.
best wishes.

p.s. Hi again all.
Try checking the UK immagration website and see if they got help and advice as similar situations must happen

I'm with ICE; get some solid legal advice, none of our opinions are any good to you.
Nevertheless, I'll offer my two cents: if this were the Netherlands instead of UK, and the aggrieved companies had filed criminal charges for fraud against you, you would be taken in coercive detention upon re-entry, until outstanding debts are paid. If no charges were filed against you, you'll only face seizure of your property, should a bailiff catch up with you.

Phone citizens advice, really helpful most of the time volunteer solicitors and such, confidential aswell I think.
Wonder if it was ever resolved.
Intrigued tbf, probably would just have been a bailif job if she had stayed in the UK but if you leave the UK would that then make it a crime?
