I have just completed my TEFL and i am really looking to work in thailand/vietnam/cambodia.
Sammy,
Thailand has really cracked down on teachers that do not have all the required documents. Cambodia is not as strict. When I was there a few years ago, teachers were working w/o degrees. I will e-mail my friends in Phnom Penh and see if that is still the case.
Teaching is getting harder in Thailand.
My friend, a Phd. with decades of teaching experience, was jerked around when working on his visa. The Uni didn't want to help very much.
You might imagine how much help a simple TEFL certificate will garner.
Could you elucidate?
What do we not understand?
That's what i thought. I'm going to go over to Thailand for 2/3 months in October and see if i can get any contacts/job while i'm there and if not i might try China as i know they are very short on native English Speakers. I just wanted to see if anybody had any contacts or experience in this.
Cheers Sam x
