I've been considering doing a RTW trip solo. I'm 33 and female. Does anyone have any experience or input?
Also, I'm thinking about 5-6 stopping points. Does anyone know some cheap airfares for this many stops?
Tentatively I'm considering:
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Moscow, Russia
Cairo, Egypt (don't know if this is safe though)
Mumbai, India
Beijing, China
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Have you considered a round the world ticket, it will be more expensive than the standard as you are taking in SA & Africa but it's worth checking out.You'll need to consider Climate and which way round the globe you go.
We booked ours thru Thomas Cooks but costs have gone up since we did our RTW in 2007/2008 but it does no harm to get a costing, other than that go in with your list of dates and countries and see what they come up with.

It's a good site for independent travellers website I've used it for years and I believe there is a round the world calculator for flights.
