Chicago for 3 Nights

Hi all,

Hi Sheps! For your nightlife adventure I suggest Spybar Chicago and Vision Bar. These bars are the most popular bars in Chicago where DJ's play the most updated party music and they offer variety thirst quenching liquors too. On the other hand, Alder Planetarium, Chicago Botanic Garden and Six Flags America are my top listed attractions in Chicago. I would probably be there in two months for a vacation =)

Have a great Chicago Vacation!

Hi thanks a lot for the suggestions. I've looked on the websites for both Spybar and Vision Bar and they both look like good places to go on nights out so I imagine we'll be aiming to go to at least 1 of them =)

I'm also going to research the other attractions you listed, I google imaged the botanic gardens and they look very nice to say the least.

Thanks again

Thanks, Stacy D. I'll be in Chicago on business next week myself (get there Wednesday ), and it's a place I'm not so familiar with (having only been there a few times)--so I appreciate the suggestions.

You're both welcome guys.. don't forget to update us of your Chicago vacation. Post some pictures and share them with us! thank you!

Well, I met a great group of business associates, and had some fun in the 'burbs in Libertyville (Nicky Finns and other places), but for me the heat, humidity--and especially the mosquitos/bugs were a bit too much to bear. I'd like to go back to Chicago soon--but preferably in around October or November--or next April and May when the weather will be a lot nicer.

im off to chicago for 4 ngihts in november, ive been told to go to howl at the moon....anyone know if this place is anygood?

Hey,

Just thought I'd put a message up since returning from the states. Must say Chicago is a very nice city, by far the cleanest I have visited and I had a great time there. I was suprised at the heat and did not expect it to be so hot! I think we caught a heat wave to so it was still hot and clammy on an evening. We done a lot of walking in the city including the magnificent mile and visited both millenium and grant park. We also took in the bay view along with all the luxury boats and yachts as we walked along the bay near the aquarium etc up to navy pier. Our next day was spent taking a visit up the willis tower which the view was well worth $16 and took in the views of downtown some more, including my favourite - the Marina Towers and the John Hancock bulding.

During our stay we sampled the famous chicago deep dish pizza which we got from Giordano's which was very nice and filling to say the least! (we had to get some boxed up to take out) The place was packed everytime we went past, and we had quite a wait but it was worth it! We sampled some nightlife as well and spent some time around rush street and oak street which had quite a selection of bars and restaurants.

On our last day we'd done enough walking, shopping etc so we had a day chilling out at Oak Street beach which was beautiful. It was quite different from any other beach I'd visited, as when you turned round you had the Hancock building and many other sky scrapers staring at you! After baking in the chicago sun a dip in the icey cold lake michigan was in order

All in all I enjoyed my time in chicago and would definitely visit again. Thanks again for the tips and help, and also for reading
