In my opinion Fiji is, in short, amazing. It was my favourite part of my RTW trip. Not sure if you will want to spend 3 to 4 months there though?! I think most people find about 3 weeks or so is their limit, I guess it depends where in Fiji you want to visit though, but I would recommend the Yasawa Islands, which are idyllic in the extreme. Check out Botaira Beach Resort on Naviti - fantastic place.
There are roughly 3 Fijian dollars to 1 UK pound, and for dorm rooms in Fiji you are probably looking at around 100 Fijian dollars a night, which includes 3 or sometimes 4 meals a day.
Other than that beer costs around 5/6 Fijian dollars.
