I usually stay in place is longer than most normal tourist like several months and had planned to stay in Constanta Romania. Have been looking for an apartment before arriving in Romania.
But have come across a problem which I have not experienced in any country in years of travel around the world!
If you're going to Romania, especially to a big city like Constanta - there is no need to book at any agency.
There are hundreds of hotels, hostels and family rooms on offer in Constanta. There's no need to book anything in advance.
Quite often, a station cabbie will know somewhere very cheap and clean - maybe his own family. I've got off a train in Brasov with nowhere to stay, jumped in a taxi and ended up stayed with his family for about €10 a night, including breakfast.
Never book in advance. It's a rip-off and if you're delayed, you'll lose any deposit that you've paid.

thanks for info, youre probably right re hostels hotel, etc- but as I said looking for actual apt for long term stay. Anyway since then found a more reliable agency, so think prob will be solved. Could probably find Apt too, but means staying in hotel until finding something suitable, so these guys promised me a place same day, even picking me up from airport, so be worth the fee.
and some guy who is a taxi driver in Constanta wrote me on anther advice site and said there is absolutely no rooms, apts etc in Constanta as its tourist season-do I detect some bullshit here ? :-)
always wary of taxi drivers, usually con artists in most countries ...looks like you were lucky :-)
