I'm planning a once in a life time expereince around the world but find it very daunting and hard to know if I'm making the right choices. My rough plan is to get a one way flight to new york then either grey hound or get trains across to finally reach mexico where from there travel through central america for 2 months by land then a further 6months in south america, I have been to south america before so feel pretty confident and safe travelling overland through borders but I am unaware on how easy or difficult taht is in central america, so help here would be appreciated.
I then can decide if i should go home for maybe 2-4weeks to unload and start another trip heading to new zealand for 2months fiji for three weeks before sttling down in oz for 1 year and getting a working visa.
Once the visa is up i want to go to bali, travel through south east asia and travel a bit of china, japan and tibet but i have no idea how easy china, tibet and japan is to travel especially as a single female traveller so if anyone has been and can give me some much needed advice and places to visit it would be much appreciated.
also i need help with my route if anyone can suggest a better way of seeing all the places i have mentioned it would be a great help.
