has anybody worked/tried working in exchange for accommodation? I've seen a few ads put up on craigslist by hostels offering this arrangement, but am just wondering if somebody here has some real experience. did it turn out to be a pretty cool arrangement, or do they end up treating you like a slave? to me, the idea seems like it could be a pretty great experience, but I'd love to hear what it's actually like. if you know of any hostels who like to "recruit" like this in buenos aires or any other major city in south america please let me know!
Accommodation in Buenos Aires is cheap, so I wouldn't bother. Even the worst-paid teaching position earns you a lot more money.
