10 days in Thailand in September, advice and mates welcome

Hello Travellers!

Hello there!

Last year I took a trip to Thailand with such a low budget but cheap air tickets saved my life, however, I ended up being so bored in Bangkok as I didn't really appreciate the night life. So a thai friend of mine told me to go to Phang-gna island with a canoe program. Guess what? I had such a great experience and time! I am usually scared of going out into the ocean, but the safety they gave us was incredible and they ( the tour company ) were so friendly and kind. Sea-Canoeing in phuket was such a big crush and I'm pretty sure most people would love it! Good luck with the 10-day-stay in Thailand and enjoy...

Hiya!

We had two and a half weeks in Thailand in September last year. I would recommend having more time in Chiang Mai (my absolute favourite place) and less in Bangkok - I didn't enjoy my time nearly as much as Chiang Mai. What sort of budget are you looking at accommodation wise? You can stay in some pretty darn nice places in Thailand for a fraction of the price of Australia, if you can afford a few extra dollars it's definitely worth it while you can! We stayed at Centara Duangtawan in Chiang Mai and Park Plaza Suhkumvit in Bangkok - both around $50AUD a night and absolute luxury!

Kate

Thanks so much! I have decided to shorten my stay in Bangkok and longer in Chiang Mai and then 5 nights in Koh Phangan. Very excited and have found some good places to stay, thanks so much for your guidance. cheers, sarah
