I would consider staying in BsAs, but then I seem to recall from previous threads that you know the city quite well already.
If staying and doing day trips from there (Lujan, Tigre, the Parana delta, Colonia del sacramento and La Plata come to mind) is not an option, Iguazu would be a good destination for you. Most other attractions cannot easily be reached by plane if you have little time; a flight would get you near one, but you'd need additional bus travel to actually arrive on the scene.

In that case, I would use my first two weekends to explore the city, which is perfect for just wandering around. The third you can use to go to Iguazu.
As for attractions, there are many. Very good night life in Palermo, excellent and cheap eating, lots of music, and football and tango of course.

During mid-September begins the spring in Argentina, so probably a sweater is all that you’re going to need to explore the city. I would recommend a tango Show in Buenos Aires, is the mainly activity for tourist and locals. In the city there are several tango houses so you can choose the one that fits with what you want, from the most traditional to the most innovative. Another good activity that most travelers don't know is an Estancia Day tour. At the outskirt of Buenos Aires, there are some Estancias, like Don Silvano, La Alameda or Santa Susana, that allow to the visitors a day tour with horseback ridding, tango and folkloric dance show, show of Gaucho skills, and more interesting things that allow you to learn more about the Argentine culture and folklore. So at the end of the day, you probably lived the most Argentinean hours of your life. Probably other good options for a day tour will be: Montevideo, Colonia and Tigre.
