I have just got the Schengen Visa Type C Multi Entry from the German Embassy as my plan was to visit Frankfurt then travel to Paris. My plan has changed and now instead I will be travelling to Paris right away.
As far as I know a Schengen visa is valid for the whol Schengen area, no matter where you enter and where it was issued. To avoid problems, you could ask where you got the visa or one of the local Schengen embassies in SA.
