Vancouver to Alaska, by land

I suggest you consult a map-you can't drive any further up the coast than Lund-just north of Powell River.

So if you really want to drive all that way-and back-you'll be well out of range of any seaside vistas.

hahahahaha, Thanks Sam. Well now I feel like an idiot.

Many people make the same mistake thinking there must be a road-but it would cost billions and billions to build and millions to maintain.

The Coast Mountain Range is a shield wall that's only breached in two places-the Bella Coola Valley via Highway 20 and the Skeena corridor along highway 16.

Still lots of places to go though and the is a place to start.

The ferry to/from Prince Rupert is another consideration and it's relatively easy to drive to Hyder Alaska from PR if that's your heart's desire.

Northern Vancouver Island is another relatively untrafficked destination worth researching.
