Traveling Alone for the first time!

Hello,

Hello. Im just curious on how to tackle passport expiry issue? Are you a native English speaker? I heard many Asian countries looking for English tutor. I'm not eligible to apply for a tutor job even if I have a paper qualification because neither am I a native English speaker nor my parents are. So I had been working and savings for a RWT. I hope to start my journey before I hit 30 and Im already 28 this year.

Yes I am a native english speaker. I currently live in California, United States. But, I am ready to get my butt out there and travel! I definitely want to be able to find a job while on my travels so hopefully it won't be too hard to do.

Where are you planning on traveling? Will you be traveling long?

~Jessie

Hi Jessy
hope you are doing good, i'm yasser from Egypt a 26 old, actually i been looking for a mate or a good friend to go with on a vacation but i'm gonna be solo,
thinking of going to Thailand or turkey thought it might be a good vacation to relax and enjoying liberty after a full year and half working , so it would be great if we can meet in any of these countries and for sure it will be better just to get the chance to know an awesome girl like you, as well you can get the chance to look around in egypt, specially in sharm el sheikh where i'm living ,tourist came to it from all over the world, might you find a good position there who knows, a lot of foreigners living and working in here
hear from you

Good for you. I think you should work on your plans fast and go see the world soon. Nowadays education industry is getting even more competitive and sometimes even dirty, so be prepare for worst situation when you’re on foreign land. Most important we must have fun in our travel and not thinking too much on finding a job because it will only defeat the purpose our travel adventure.

About 2-3 months only my savings said. Now doing my research and once complete im set to go year end. Plan to cover SEA only. Hot weather less cloths lighter backpack swifter movement and just enough cash for a last trip back to homeland.

Hi Rachael,

Yup im snother one thats just decided to head off for a year. 31 now so thought its now or never. Il probably be hitting Oz/NZ about February time. Who do you book Oz experinece and NZ experience through? Was gonna check it out,

Martin

Hey Jessie,

I was in your position a couple of years ago (except I am from the UK). Despite living in Europe shamefully I haven't travelled much of it so I can't give you too much advice there!

All I will say is that you have already made the best decision you will ever make. I spent 18 months travelling and it was fantastic, the best time of my life - I definitely want to go again.

For what it is worth I went to South East Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia) and loved it, due to its cheapness and the fact it is totally different from the UK. I went to Australia and was slightly underwhelmed (very expensive). I went to New Zealand and loved it (so so beautiful and so much to do) and Fiji and loved that too (almost paradise).

I made so many friends, saw so many places and have so many amazing memories.

I booked tthe experiences through STA travel, they were really helpful and know what their talking about as most of the guys who work there have been travelling themselves xx

Indonesia is the best..........
