Scared of my own shadow

Hello reader,

My advice is to go to a place like Thailand that - while completely foreign - is likely the easiest, least intimidating country on the planet for a new traveller - the gringo trail there is FULL of new travellers exactly like yourself, all reading the exact same guide books. It's a great way to get your feet wet.

Good luck making the jump.

Cheers,
Terry

Download the single JUMP, by Madonna... Songs help, and this one is pretty powerful...

I am addicted to taking calculated risk, but no I am not a vagabond.

What should motivate you? Sometimes you don't need any grand purpose. You just need to be honest to yourself... What do you really want and if it's not in your backyard, then it must be in the bars of Shanghai or some city in Indonesia or Sri Lanka. So what are you waiting for?

I am always traveling alone and it can get really lonely sometimes, when you forget that to be alone is to be strong and that maybe you are alone because you choose not to COMPROMISE your standards for friendship.

To your final question- The thought that the waste of potentials is the greatest of all evil.
And I don't ever do things that frighten me, I only do things that will bring me closer to the sky (destiny). So I won't ride a roller coaster or do Bungee jumping, because it will not be significant to the fullfilment of my destiny. But I would jump to Europe with 200 dollars in my pocket, things like that....

The risks that we take - doing what we don't usually do, doing what we're afraid to do - is one of the things that make life worthwhile. We need to get out of our comfort zones to see how far we could go. Testing ourselves on our limit. That's how I lived and loved my life. Though the risk sometimes didn't pay off but it's still a risk worth taking and learning from.
