Well ive booked a flight to Bangkok on the 25th October, would be good to have some company. Im staying a few nights there then travelling across Cambodia into Vietnam. Other than that if you just keep checking these forums, ive found them a really good help in finding out information and advice.

i wouldnt worry too much about going it alone...
if your heading out to asia you will meet so many other backpackers in the same boat as you,i gurantee by the time youve queued up and gone through immigration/customs you'll have met other backpackers and people doing what your doing...
your never actually really alone in thailand,everywhere you go you will see other backpackers,even if your in some of the most remote towns up north your never far away from other westerners and bar's etc etc...
i personally prefer to travel alone,can do what i want,when i want,get up when i want,go wherever,whenever..!!!
if you want information or help with thailand then feel free to email me...i shall be heading back out there myself 1st week of jan,starting in vietnam,then cambodia and accross into thailand...
cant wait to escape reality and normal mundane,boring life again!!!

Yeah im bricking it but i know im doing the right thing. The thought of staying here and not going scares the hell out of me even more!

i want to go 2 paris and rome first then on den on were ever else afta that havnt made concrete plan of were after that but i am flexable.

Hi Leanne,
I wouldn't worry about travelling alone! Most backpackers set off on their own and you'll meet lots of other people in the same position along the way. If you're worried about the safety aspect and that you won't have time to find all the best places on your own, maybe you could look at something like this -snip- you'll be in a group with other travellers, you'll get to go sightseeing and you'll get off the beaten track (places without lots of tourists).
