Belgium in January

Will be traveling from USA to Belgium in Mid-January for a week. Plan to just visit Ghent, Brussels and Burges. Will I miss much by not renting a car and just taking the train to these cities?

Mike,

The distance is short and the area is flat, so it's much better to take the train. It's less than an hour from Brussels to Gent and another 15-30 minutes to Brugge. The whole trip back and forth should cost you less than 20 euros.

If you want to explore the south however, car might be a great way to travel around. Beautiful landscapes, amazing towns and lovely villages. Recommend Namur - Dinant and travel around Dinant.

Enjoy Belgium and its great food and beer!

Awesome, looking forward to the Beer!
Thanks

If you plan your route and book in advance, then the train is the best (lots of connectivity)

Awesome, looking forward to the Beer!

Definitely, take the train ...

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can visit Belgium in January but just be aware you might be dealing either with cold temperatures frequent rains and drizzles..
