Hi! I'm planning to go to Bhutan next year, November 2012, as a 30th birthday gift to myself. I don't have a number of days yet, but so far with all the research that I've been doing, it seems like the following are the must-see placeS:
Paro
Thimpu
Punakha
Wangdue
Bumthang
Gangtey
The places you have selected are the major tourist destinations in Bhutan. Here if you are more interested in doing Cultural trip, I think you better travel during the October as they have many major festival to celebrate during that time.

I am sure already know that you have to go with a gov't licensed tour company. There is no independent travel in Bhutan. Costs are fixed as well. In Nov 2012 it is minimum $250/day. Single supplement is another $40/day. I did a quick search and most 10 day tours are roughly $4K. are tour by Bhutan. Pick a cultural tour that includes what you want to see and compare companies. Like you had mentioned, these are the must see places. if it is possible to know the exact date of travel, i can suggest you some interesting events happening at different places.
Haa is also a interesting place to visit, esp. if you can drive across the highest motor able road between Haa and Paro, you will have a stunning view of Jomolhari.
