I did did something very spontanious and left my humble life back in London to come to Perth and work for 3 months with 4 days notice!! ha ha
I'm here now pinching myself and can't quite belive it but though I'd have nothing to lose. I'm here by myself and currently staying in short term accomodation till I work out the best way forward (and where the hell I am!) ha ha..I wondered if any people were also here by themselves or would like a travel buddy to explore this cool place with?... Any tips for some great 'must do's'would be really appreciated.

Must do is getting yourself a job assuming you have a work visa. Check work agencies, local newspapers and the internet.
Don't rush anything though.
It's certainly a good place to be now that Britain is coming into winter and Australia into summer.

If you do have some time later on try to get into Australia, away from touristy places and into the Outback. Maps don't tell you where the Outback begins but you'll see a very different side to the country.
I assume you know about a good place to hunt for jobs, transport and accommodation. Being alone you might also want to check out Its a great way to meet locals and will help keep your budget down. Generally you do 3 to 4 hours work for accommodation and food. It can also be a good way to lead into finding a job, locals always know someone that knows someone that needs help.
While in Perth head down to Fremantle. Its a bit more chilled than Perth and really nice beaches. If you settle out that way make sure you take a trip up north to Broome.
