Hi,
Iv finally booked my flight to bangkok and arriving on the 4th jan. I have booked a hostel for 2 nights from which I shall check bangkok (or as much as I can in 2days). From there my plan is still open like the rest of my trip. I'm thinking more of heading down to koh phangan for the fmp on the 8th but will see what happens. If any1 is thinking the same or fancys meeting up out there that would be awesome.

il be arriving in Thailand around that same sort of time but not sure of exact dates yet...
i wouldnt worry about being alone too much,i can more or less gurantee by the time you've cleared immigration/security in Bangkok you will have made friends with other backpackers,if not then definately by the time youve spent a few nights in Bangkok....
id recomend ko san road for a few nights,also ko samui and ko phangan are a must too,also if your wanting to get way off the beaten track then try ko phayam,its a short boat trip from Ranong and defo worth a trip,no cars,no hotels,no fast food restraunts,and very few tourists,more or less a desterted island with just a few hundred locals and beach huts scattering the shoreline...They say it's one of Thailand's last lost secrets,obviously not so much now as i keep spouting about it on here!!!ha..

Cheers for the advice about meeting ppl. Iv already booked to nights in a hostel just off ko San road. Thanks for the advice on places, ko phayam sounds lush, may well hav to check that out. Well if u end up goin around the same time let me know dude.

I'm flying to Krabi on Jan 9th (missing the FMP by one day as it turns out....!). Got three weeks vacation, no plans other than diving, maybe a little climbing and lots of chilling. Probably gonna try to see Ao Nang/Railay, Phiphi and up to Tao/Samui/Phangan, but don't know when I go where. Send me a msg if anyone want to meet up!
