Where should I go for beach?

I've been in india for a few months now and wish to go somewhere else in asia that is as cheap, is warm and can give me beautiful beaches. I have a budget of £1200 to last a few months including flights to this destination.

I would book a flight on to either BKK or SGN. Thailand is a bit more expensive than VN generally, but there are still beaches that will not break your budget. If you choose Tland, you will get a free 30 day entry permit on arrival. Then you will need to leave. You can fly into SGN or go overland thru Cambodia. If you choose the overland route, buy your VN visa while in Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville. S'ville has some nice beaches and is not expensive. Here is a list of and places to stay in There are places for as little as $3/nite in S'ville, hard to beat that. I would read on S'ville and decide what is best for you. The Victory Hill will probably be your best bet IMO. Cheap rooms, plenty of restaurants, some nightlife, several beaches within walking distance. Otres beach is quiet, but rooms are more expensive. Do a bit a research.

Of course Tland has hundreds of beaches. is a list a cheap rooms that might help. are that in range You will need to hit the lesser known beaches to stay within your budget.

VN has several beaches that might be worth your time. I prefer
, others prefer covers my stay in NT. There are small beaches and places to stay North of NT. The trick is to find one in your budget range. NT is a large city, but the beach is good, plenty to do. Rooms are going to be in the $8 and up range. Same with rooms in Hoi An. VN will be much more crowded than S'ville or the small beach places recommended in Tland. I think S'ville will be your best bet for price and quality of beach. Good luck with your planning.

I would go to BKK first and then jump on a minibus with short ferry ride to Koh samet, its only 2 1/2 hours from BKK and saikaw Beach (white sand beach) is fantastic,I have been going there for the past 20 years and although changing its still not overcrowded or over developed.

Not far from Koh samet about a 3 hour minibus trip& ferry ride is Koh Chang (Thailands second biggest island to Phuket) there are some really nice beaches there.

I would recommend Tioman Island in Malasyia. There are great beaches on the Island and the diving is good too. I stayed on Salang Beach, it is pretty quite and small, not overwhelmed with tourists, and the locals are so friendly. I stayed alot longer than expected. Its a really chilled out friendly place. Watch out for the monkeys and monitors, their everywhere. You can catch a ferry from Mersing, think its about 2 to 2 1/2 hour crossing. Check out return ferries if your on a schedule, the timetable was pretty random when I was there.

The 3 Gili islands are pretty good and wouldnt dissapoint,Gili Trawangan has the best accomadation and a bit more life.

Short simple boat trip from Lombok or hair raising 2+ hour speed boat ride from Bali .

I went last year and was blown away with the Gilis!

I would recommend you Sabah islands which is in Northern Borneo, there are a lot of beautiful beaches and cheap where you can go.
