In Thailand you can sign up for tours through local travel agencies. Most of these tours are in 8 to 10 seat passenger vans. You will meet other tourists on these tours. You will meet fellow travelers in pubs, restaurants and even at your hotel.
Maybe having a hotel convenient to the Skytrain might be helpful for you. The Skytrain is an overhead rail service that connects many areas of Bangkok popular with tourists. The Skytrain also connects with the Airport Rail Link and the subway. It can also take you to the Ekamai bus terminal too.
If you need a hotel suggestion also mention your price range. Hotel rooms with air and private toilet start around 700 baht. Of course if you want a more expensive hotel there are plenty of them discounted for off season.
Many women travel alone and have a good time doing it. Popular with many women, besides seeing Bangkok, is Chiang Mai and Phuket. There is an overnight sleeper train that goes to Chiang Mai. This saves you paying for another night in a hotel in Bangkok.

Im a 25 yr old female sole traveller and will be in South East Asia from 6th of May to 31st may
Starting off in Phnom Penh and hopefully be in Bangkok on the 10th. Hoping to hit up thailand and the beaches and also laos. Im quite flexible and have no idea where to even start or where to go! lol

well am going to koh samui and then taking the boat to koh phangan on 4th may ,ready for the full moon party ,I dont know how long am staying there and where next am travelling to!

Can't believe I didn't look to see when the full moon party was on! I was more scared about doing it alone actually ,n just never thought of this site !
I'll arrive in Bangkok on the 10th and dnt think I'll b staying there long at all!
So hopefully we'll cross paths in phi phi ! Or wherever ! I pretty much have no idea where I'm going once I land in bagkok lol
