Hi Moomin,
if you discovered your love for travel, how about working as a guide? When I was in Barcelona Spain I joined a "free walking tour" and our guide was also from the UK. He worked only on tips (hence the word "free" in "free walking tour") but probably got around 80€ in total for a 2 hours walking tour. If you are located in a place that attracts many tourists it´ll probably be enough to pay for the basic live expenses.
Hi,
Well it is difficult as essentially you need at least a bit of money behind you to start to travel. I think your only option is to keep job hunting for a better job in London and as soon as you get that start saving again to travel.
By the sounds of it the business internship in Spain will be impossible to go through with if you only have £200 left in the bank.
When you have a bit more money behind you you could consider getting your Working Visa for NZ, Australia or Canada (I’m not sure how many days left until you are 31!?). Or you could try a TEFL course and see how you get on, you might be better than you think.
I got back from 18 months travelling about a year ago and am back at home with my Dad. I’m 32, but the good thing is I now have a decent job and can save a lot of money each month so I know that I should be able to go away again in a couple of years for a considerable amount of time.
So essentially I am saying keep looking for a permanent job in London and once you have that set yourself a timeline of when you want to travel again. Save really hard and you will be able to do it.
Did you try with Adecco agency they helped me. I think they are all over the Europe.
