I would like to fly from Europe to Asia this year and I´m also trying to find the best airfare deals. Can anyone recommend any good search engine or share their experience on how to find the lowest prices? In my experience search engines are quite limited, as they only allow you to search for flight at a given date and at a given departure location. What would be great would be a search engine that would allow you to check all the national airports at once and also check the prices on various dates.
Air Asia flys from France...they are pretty cheap.
other than that I use www.cheapoair.com have booked many flights with them and they seem to be the cheapest that I can find
You could try http://adioso.com
I've always found skyscanner.net to be very handy!
Thanks for all the feedback guys! Traveling with Air Asia from Paris would have probably been a great idea, but apparently they recently cancelled Paris and London from their itinerary.
Be a little more specific in your request - I doubt that you will find a site "that would allow you to check all the national airports at once and also check the prices on various dates".
What country are you starting from, and what is the destination exactly?
As an example, the lowest price in August to Bangkok from Frankfurt would about $672. roundtrip on Ethiad Airways (codeshares with Air Berlin)
(use this to search with the calendar option)
Thanks Daawgon,
the calendar option of the website is really convenient!
I want to start from Germany but the location of the airport is not that important. Though it seems like there are not so many differences from city to city.
I would like to fly to either Korea, Japan or Taiwan but since I´d like to visit some other asian countries too, I might simply get a low cost flight within asia.
You're talking about the most expensive part of E. Asia. The LCC's in Japan and Korea are just starting up at this time, and mostly do domestic flights. Look at Jin Air (LCC part of Korean Air) and Air Busan (LCC part of Asiana Air). Why not go to SE Asia where the price is right (low)?
The (mainland) Chinese carriers such as China Southern, China Eastern and Air China have always been pretty cheap, but personally, I prefer a little comfort for my 10-13 hour flights (I fly Asiana from the States to Vietnam via Seoul - the very BEST).
I know those are the most expensive destinations in China, but it´s because friends of me leave there.
Daawgon, thank you so much for the link you provided! I found out that the search engine is also available as an IOS App and it is so convenient! It also lets you choose up to 3 departure and destination airports. It doesn´t really get much better...
