Barcelon, Spain

Hi people,

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, which is known as Barcelona Cathedral is built in the Gothic style. If you like that style, you can definitely check it out. An example of Catalan Gothic Style is Santa Maria del Mar. Santa Maria del Pi is also representative for the Gothic Style. Sagrada Família is a Roman Catholic Church that has an amazing design!I recommend all of them!

Try hotel jazz.... Stayed there twice, central, clean and pretty reasonable..great city

Definitely go to Sagrada Familia! Even though it has so far only been completed to 60% it is unlike every other cathedral in the world. The entry is a little bit pricey (13 €) but really worth it since you can easily spend a whole day inside. I would personally recommend you to buy a ticket for the elevator (3 €) as the view from the top is simply amazing an allows you to contemplate Gaudis work in even more details.
Otherwise you could also check out the church of Tibidabo which stands at the tallest point in Barcelona. I couldn´t go there because I didn´t had time but the pictures I saw really wants me to go there. The particular thing about Tibidabo is that an amusement park has been built around the church.
If a hostel would also be fine for you, I can recommend the BCN Backpackers Casanova hostel which is located in a quite place but also quite near the Rambla. The staff is really nice and helpful and since it´s not too big it is really great to meet nice fellow travelers.
