Thirsty for journey

Hi I'm Augustine, and I'm really thirst to travel to New York in 2013 on the 10 of November. I know that its to early to mention this, but I believe that it is good to organize before the time arrived. I want to travel to experience the different localities in New_York city, including the castles, also I'm really demanding to reach all this big picture of my imagination. I'm looking for the best car to to travel on, and nice hotel in good condition, in New_York city. Please I really be happy if anyone can put his/her suggestion.

That's way too far in advance for specific suggestions, especially when you make no mention of how long you'll be there or more importantly your budget.

New York is covered VERY well by a multitude of guide books and Internet sites. It's very easy to research.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

You mention visiting the "castles". Do you mean seeing some of the large mansions--or are you refering to visiting skyscrapers?

As far as booking a hotel, there are many good ones in the eastern part of Manhattan between 42nd Street and 62nd Street and 2nd Avenue over towards 5th Avenue. You should wait until about 9 months prior to your trip. At that point, hotels will start to list their rates for November 2013.

I know this is probably a no no for New Yorkers but I've even stayed in Jersey and taken a bus across the tunnel and used the subway to travel all throughout New York. That was the cheapest for me at the time but you'll have different options deciding so far in advance.

I agree super far away you must be a planner! NYC is the capital of the world and even though I only live 40 minutes north I don't get there as much as I should. Enjoy your trip in two years ha ha

Planning advance is always good or I always miss out on something. For me, planning that far in advance is way too far out of the way. I like to plan maybe 3-6 months in advance because I feel less falls apart and I can still get everything ready and planned to the details before then. Who knows what you might be doing or where you will be in Nov 2013. If you are saving money before then that's one thing, you can save a certain amount to go sometime next year, but planning this far in advance with tickets, housing, etc. is a little too far away because a lot will change between now and then. That's great that you are going, NYC is an amazing place!
