Hi Chloe,
I'm travelling to Sydney on the 21st of October so may be there around the 4th. I was hoping to travel up the East Coast. How long are you thinking of staying in Sydney? Are you going to travel a bit first or go straight into working? I've been thinking about doing a starter package but don't know whether to just wait until I'm there and see how things go.

I was thinking that i will maybe stay until january in Sydney because the NYE there is awsome.
I think i'm going to enjoy one week and than work because i heard a lot of people talking about travelling straight away and finally they were broke before finding a job.
I want to enjoy when i will travel so, i will save the money and then travel and save again and travel again...
The Ultimateoz seems great because it seems that you meet a lot of people and do a lot of activities in one week so that could be cool
But at the same time is kind of expensive.
I think i'm just affraid to be alone!
Are you going to stay in Sydney or travel ?

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I'm only in Aus for 3 months so I was going to travel up the East Coast near enough straight away but want to be back in Sydney for Christmas and New Year. With hind sight I should have booked a flight to Cairns and travelled down but never mind!
Don't worry about being alone, that definately won't be the case, there will be plenty of people in the same situation as you!

Don't know yet how long i will stay in Australia but i hope i will stay at least 6 months.
I was in Sydney 2 years ago for NYE and if i can give you an advice, if you wish to spend Christmas and NYE there in an hostel, you have to book early beacause it's really crowded over there at this period, and it's hard to find an hostel. Also prices are rising really fast
I did the coast from Sydney to Cairns and it was awsome!
Especially Byron Bay and the great Barrier Reef.
But i didn't get the chance to do the whitsundays and i really want to go there
I know that there will be a lot of people doing the same thing but it's just scary! I think it won't last as soon as i get there !
So we keep in touch and maybe we will see each other for Christmas or NYE!

Ok thanks, do you know any good hostels to stay at in Sydney, I wouldn't know where to start. Have you booked anything for Christmas/New year yet?
Oh I'm glad to hear it, I'm hoping to do the Whitsundays.

I think the Base and the Wake Up are great.
I didn't look for the moment because i hope i will work and be in a flatshare but it's difficult to organise things here when you don't know how it's going to be !!

Hi my names Lauren in 22 from Surrey am looking to head to Sydney beginning of November on my own and would really love to meet people as I'm pretty nervous but really want to travel.
Like you am going to stay in Sydney until the new year and work and try and get a flat share. Would be great to meet if there are a few of us going at the same time!

As i said i booked my flight and i will arrive in Sydney on the november 4th, at 11 am.
I think we are all in the same mood, excited but nervous to travel alone

I haven't booked my flight yet as only applied for my visa on Friday so as soon as that is approve I will book hopefully it doesn't take to long!
