Hey i have wrote 2 more threads about Thailand before and have finally decided where were're going and for how long Just wanted to know as we are going from 20th Dec to 8th Jan would we need to book hostels/hotels before we go as its peak times or would we be okay to find places when were there? Were going from Bangkok to Chiang Mai to Koh Samui to Krabi and back to Bangkok......any ideas and tips welcome!!
Book rooms early as that is high season in Thailand. Accommodation try hostelbookers or asiarooms.
Both xmas and new year are normal days in Thailand.
AirAsia is a budget airline there (similar to Ryanair) and easier than spending endless hours on buses or trains.
You get 30 days visa free on arrival. Another week or so would cost little more rather than rushing back to the cold back home.
