I'm fairly seasoned as a traveller, though I'm sure many of you are much more seasoned... and I think we all know that times arise where 'home' is missed. This just occurred for me the other day as I was sick, and took two back to back ten hour buses that seemed to prove that shocks are not important. The only other thing that makes me miss home is the hockey world junior championship each Christmas (Canadian what can I say). It occurred to me that although we all experience this feeling, it is certainly different things that bring it on.
I just like to sit back and relax occasionally and find that difficult to do when on holiday, as if I should be doing something all the time to justify all the travelling and expense.
I usually miss my pet dog, Spud. I now try to take shorter trips (it was just too painful).
Alright, those certainly qualify, relaxation and companionship... definitely important
