Hey Friends,
I want to know your views regarding best destination in UK to celebrate Christmas ?
Difficult - everything closes and people do family stuff!
But that does mean it's a great time to do outdoors stuff without crowds. So I'd say the Lake District, pick a hotel or b&b in Keswick and split your time between the fells and some nice pubs with roaring log fires. :-)
For other things, it all stops for just one day so pick any destination and it'll be open on the 26th.
Thanks for your suggestions, Andyf. It is worth and useful.
Hi Mellisa
I’d completely agree with Andy. I live in the South-East of England, but every year for the past 25 years our family head up to the Lake District and spend Christmas up there.
We’ve been to a variety of places, Windermere, Pooley Bridge, Hawkshead, Grasmere to name a few and the last couple of years we have been in Keswick. It is always lovely, great countryside, lovely pubs and happy people!
If you want to celebrate Christmas prior to Christmas Day, I suggest the Lincoln Christmas market

and also going to one of the the Ice skating rinks in London near the Thames

or else catch a show in London's west end. Cheapest tickets are the 1/2 price ones you can get at the Leicester Square ticket office on the day of the show
