Hello
A year's worth of clothing is no different than a week's worth of clothing - you just wash them regularly. (Don't take your favorite clothes! After a year of wearing them constantly, they'll be starting to fall apart.) Do try to limit how much you bring; anything really essential which you forgot, you can buy over there, but anything superfluous will just be a weight dragging you down for the entire trip.
Also: Keep an eye on this forum - an organized chat is being organized with everyone from the forum who's heading to Australia this year; probably for the 1st of June (still being decided) - should be good fun and very useful.

Iam going 17th September, another girl I met on here is going at that time to Sydney and I have said I would book the same one if I can from Manchester.
I think i will be giving them both a miss, as much as they sound so much fun, I plan to do most of those activities while I am out there and think i (well hope) will met friends in the hostels etc
