Train out of Bangkok

Hi all

I know there is a bus that goes direct from BKK to the station - have a look at that airport's website

Hi all

Just wondered if I could get some advice. Myself and my boyfriend are leaving for Bangkok in just over a week, because of all the trouble we want to land in Bangkok and then get straight out!

We are looking at getting an overnight train to Suht Thani then ferry over to Koh Samui, but how do we get from the airport to the train station?

Our flight lands at 3 in the afternoon and the overnight train departs at 7pm would we be able to get there?

Thanks guys!

Here is a link for the Airport Express Bus, see #12 bottom.

Two people in a taxi is not that much more than taking the Airport Express Bus but it is half the time and door to door! Even with the 50 baht surcharge, paying the tolls and paying the meter fare the price to the train station is usually between 320 baht to 390 baht. (Read old posts on how to take a meter taxi from the airport.)

If you look at CNN and BBC you would think that all of Bangkok is under control of Redshirts - that is not so! They do have a good chunk but most of Bangkok is protest free. You can still get a hotel on Sukhumvit Road if you want. In this area there are hostels, cheap hotels and other hotels in all price ranges. Also, there are malls, street vendors, bars, restaurants and the Skytrain. You can take the Skytrain to the Asok stop and get the subway direct to the Hua Lumpong Railway Station. I was just staying in the Sukhumvit Road area just 4 days ago.

Seat 61 and Google can help you with train schedules and other "how to get here" information.

Up to you.

Hey guys,

Get a taxi from the airport. Thailand is cheap and so are the taxis. It also will take the hassel and worry about getting mixed up in any trouble.
