Well i'm leaving for Australia soon on a WHV and i don't have the correct funds to enter the country, i have a return flight but don't have much cash.

Based on everyone reporting in about this here on the forums in the last five years: never. This is of course no guarantee, and your behaviour might set off warning signs with the immigration official sufficient for you to be asked about it anyway - but yeah - I wouldn't worry about being asked about funds at the airport. (What I would worry about is how you're going to manage once in the country. The $5000 is a pretty good estimate for a minimum figure that almost every backpacker on a WHV will really need. I don't know how much money you have, but I recommend living really frugally and trying to find work as soon as possible.)
