I have finally booked my flight, it was less expensive for me to book round trip from Seattle to Sydney and the I am doing my own flight to Cairns one way, since I dont know where I will end up when its time to fly back. I plan to spend a few days in sydney, 2 to explore the city and get some sleep, then off for a day in the Blue Mts...after that, off to Cairns since it is an area that has what I am looking for, fun. Is there a hostel that is close, convenient but quiet enuf I can get some sleep? Wake up seems to be the first on the list, but then I have heard of others that may be more of what I am looking for, small friendly etc. Older solo traveler, first time backpacker. 1 mo adventure. Any other ideas and comments are appreciated. I have heard the bed and breakfast can be good but afraid it is more expensive. I want to get there, crash for awhile since I have such a long flight. Thanks
