Hi, your trips sounds great! Just a few questions though, where are you planning on going, do you already have a preliminary route in mind? Around which month would you be setting off? How long would it last? And does it matter what gender accompanies you? I love the sound of this trip and will keep in touch with this thread

No, no official plan as of yet, the route would be planned between the team.

I will be aiming for June 2011, give or take a couple of months. Unless we have someone extremely eager to join that will benefit the team in some way e.g. cook or mechanic that needs an extra month or two to prepare. Assuming the rest of the team is ok with it obviously.
How long would it last?
I plan to travel for the next couple of years but other members of the team can stay for as many or as little months as they want.
And does it matter what gender accompanies you?
No, I don't mind what gender the members of the team are!

I am going to New Zealand in October on a working holiday so may need to come home early to save money/work for a bit.

Thanks for getting back to me, I'm glad you’re interested!
The RV will be able to go anywhere with a half decent road - but it was my worry as well that when it comes to somewhere where we need to off-road then we would run into trouble but we could buy a really old 4x4 for £500 on eBay so we should be able to get one for somewhere like that in whatever country we are in at the time! Failing that maybe buy a couple of ATV's and stick them in the trailer but if we do this we will lose storage for other things! I guess this is something that we could discuss on the website.

I have just realised that when I said £200 - £250 I didn’t say 'per month'.
I imagine us needing to stop for a month or two sometimes in whatever county we may be in to find jobs. This will enable us to pay for food etch.

The job idea sounds ideal, although I would definitely like to go with over £1000 sterling just incase.
Would fellow travelers, like me, need to pay anything towards buying or insuring the Motorhome?
And also where in the UK do you live? I think early next year we all need to meet up and get to know each other, after all
you may hate us all and not want us in your motor home for 36months [or however long you plan on going for].

No I am going to buy and insure the motorhome with my own money. I'm in Haverhill, Suffolk. Yeah I agree thats a good time to meet.

I am still going, plans have changed a little bit though and I am going to need who ever comes along to chip in on the RV. I am planning on spending around $10000 on the RV itself and a little more doing it up.
