Frankfurt am Main Airport

Hello,

Well, this should be in the Europe forum, not in the General talk Forum.

It has been a while since I was last in FRA, but the way I remember it there was no more security. The skytrain was easy and signs pointing first to Terminal 1 and then to the train station were good.

But taking a look at the map of the airport - I think you will be better off with the shuttle bus. The skytrain seems to be more for people who need to change planes. It ends right near the checkpoints for the busiest part of the airport.

If you take the shuttle bus take into account that it might not run as frequent as the skytrain.

Plan on at least 1 hour from the time you leave the plane until you board your train.

Thanks for the info. t_maia. I think that the shuttle bus would be less hectic and I'll just buy a ticket from one of the machines near the trains. I might just get a taxi (around 20 euros from what I've seen), since I'll have a bit of jet lag.

What t_maia has posted here, is all you really need to know.
Frankfurt Main is in the top 10 of the world's largest and busiest airports. But unlike Heathrow, it is just so much more well organised and has help points everywhere to guide you through it from terminal to terminal and from the plane to your next point - if you are either leaving or travelling forward at the airport.
You'll be just fine and your onward trek will be easy.
