Ticket / passport organizer

Hi folks!

HI!

I can't think of anything that big..but you could try a money belt. The kind you would attach around your waist and then it would go in your pants. That is, close to the top, so you can just unzip the belt pocket and take whatever you need. I have one, but for one passport and other things, money, different currencies, immunization card, things like that. Anyway, I think you could fit five passports in there..plus some details. It would be bulgy, but as a guy it'll probably be less noticable. Unless your jeans are quite tight. They don't cost too much, either, I suggest you go to any travel shop nearby and go see what they have. The only thing you should look out for is how the belt part of the money belt closes. It has to be fastened, after all.. Lest it do something like fall through a pant leg. I never had that problem, though.

Good lucK!

Hi folks!

Im a father in a family of three kids. Im looking for a kind of organizer for tickets/passports for the whole family + a few cerditcards and so on. It seems all I can find are meant for one person. I need one which holds five(!) passports and all the tickets. Any tips? Not to «executive»-priced ;-)

Maybe you can get by with an ordinary zipper pouch. In the pouch go the passports and an envelope with the credit cards and maybe some cash with them. You could also attach that pouch to your belt by a lanyard or strap or even a key chain so you don't lose it. It will fit in a pouch pocket on your pants, pin it to your pocket. Not losing everything is worth attaching the pouch/bag to your pocket!

I have a lockable bag that I always travel with. That bag, locked, goes into the security boxes at hotels that I stay in. Something like a night deposit bag.

Maybe this will work out:

If someone is handy you could even sew one up out of canvas or you can get them at office supply places. Visit a motorcycle store and see if one of their "biker" accessories will work.

Remember to photo copy each passport information page in case the passport gets lost. Photo copy any visas if you need to get them ahead of time. You can store copies of your passport in email form too. Also, need to know information like itineraries, emergency numbers, schedules, etc. can be stored in email form - them save that email into memory. If you need to access that data all you have to do is pull up your email at a local internet shop. You can also record travelers check serial numbers and even serial numbers of large currencies like $100 bills or other types of large currency. If that money is stolen you can access the email with the data and contacts and at least have something to tell the police.

Some travelers travel with a fishing type vest with lots of pockets. They come in handy to stuff tickets in and other stuff. You can pick one up at a thrift shop pretty cheap. Like this:

Make sure each kid has some sort of ID on him. Maybe a laminated card with name and emergency contact person. Even an email or telephone number that could be used to contact you.

Good luck.

Perhaps your wife can help? She should be carrying her own passport anyway.
