watches

Sorry for the second thread in as many days!my sister wants to buy me watch as a leaving present, can anyone recommend any good watches to travel with?as I haven't got the slightest clue
Thanks

My humble opinion is you can travel with any watch, but I have a Suunto, and that one comes very handy when traveling.
Mine has a thermometer, altitude meter, barometer, compass, alarm clock among many other features.

Thanks for quick reply, that's sounds like exactly what I'm looking for!although iv never heard of the name, which is no surprise! Do you mind me asking were you got it from and a rough idea of how much.thanks again

You'll find them in almost every outdoor shop, but they are pricy, they start at around €180.

One big advantage of these watches is you can change the battery yourself without special equipment, you only need a coin!

Been hoping to get a look at a Vostok Amphibian (Russian divers watch) though it might be a bit of a monster in real life. Good points are, they're mechanical and waterproof to a long way down, so should take all sorts of crap. Good price too.

Hiya, I prefer something water proof/resistant, dual time zones, has an alarm & lights up in the dark...

You talking about the Casio f91w? Heard there's a free holiday on offer - somewhere in Cuba.

Wow fabyomama, your very close to the mark, I have the 300m dive version of that watch also from the early 90's! I'm impressed you picked that out of my description...

A waterproof watch.
like to have's: long battery or solar powered.
an alarm and dual time might be handy,
apart from that unless your serious treking/diving/running everything else is a gimick

The 3/4 things you mentioned is all I need from my watch to be honest!could you recommend any?
