Pretty good lists on here---although I think the list of "Best college stadiums" is way off base.
For example, the Rose Bowl (listed at #21) has the best seating and viewing of any of the stadiums listed--not a bad seat in the house.
Yet, the LA Coliseum (listed at #6) is probably one of the worst places to watch a game (although the USC Trojans were always worth watching). The football field at the Coliseum is surrounded by a running track--and then the seats are another 40 feet back from there--and the stadium is longer than the field--so they don't even sell the tickets at the far end because they are too far away for anyone to be willing to even pay $2 to watch the game. Every seat in this stadium makes you feel like you are about 1/4 mile away from where the game is going on.
Cape Randall field should be higher rated--and the University of Nebraska's memorial field (both my parents went to this school) has great fans, but the stadium is old, old, old--and it's just an okay place to watch football.
I think the rankings seems to be based more on the fan base than on the stadiums themselves--and maybe this is the point.
P.S. I also don't understand why all the top wineries (except for Chateau St. Michele, which deserves its ranking) are all in Napa per this list. Sure, Shafer is probably the best in the country--as is Stags Leap--but Chauteau Montelena (also Napa) is underrated, and where is Justin (from Paso Robles) or Tattinger's Domaine Carneros (on the Sonoma road) or Firestone (near Santa Barbara). And, if you are looking for the most beautiful spot--then how about Ledson Winery?

I think the reason for the winery rankings is because the people doing the ranking are are part of some obtuse group called the "US Open Winery Competition", which is just a group of a few friends who live 2,000 miles away in Alabama.
I think the best thing on this list is the "Best College Towns"
The list is pretty much spot on--except I'd put my home town (Santa Cruz, CA) ahead of Syracuse, NY
I've often thought that one of the best ways to see the "real USA" would be to go visit some of these college towns--especially when they are back in session (in September or early October). Many seniors are now retiring in college towns such as these--because they all provide a lot of cultural activities and fall football games in addition to the great infrastructure (transportation systems, restaurants, bars, housing, etc.) and young, active populations.
Yeah i had a few problems with some of the choices but not knowing their criteria for their selections i guess it comes down to their opinion over mine, however the link was meant as a loose reference or resource to all those posters who want to know what to do in America,the link should provide some good destinations when planning their trip..
