We cycled from Passau and then cycled on to Prague , i think it will be easier from Prague it is a stunning place and you are right dont miss it
I think Prague will be easier. It will be an easy trip by either bus or rail. Enjoy! Cesky Krumlov is one of my favorites
The best places to travel to Cesky Krumlov from would be Linz or Prague.
It is possible to get to Cesky Krumlov from Passau, but it is a bit complicated and involves the local school bus, walking across the border into the Sumava national park and riding through the national park with a very small local train. It would only be worth it if you are planning to return to Prague from Passau anyway.
If you are thinking about doing this:
1. Go to http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
2. Enter
From Passau
To Haidmühle Mühldorfer
You'll get a list of bus connections. Write them down, note especially the arrival times in Haidmühle.
3. Do another search, this time from Nove Udoli to Cesky Krumlov. Pay attention to the departure times from Nove Udoli. You should leave approx. 30 min between arrival in Haidmühle and departure in Nove Udoli.
