Does anyone know how to colour correct a photo that is uploaded here?
The colours on my photos are a lot brighter and saturated, but after uploading them here, they become muted and dull. I've uploaded them elsewhere on other websites, and they come up fine.
See for an explanation. (Basically, our image uploader is flawed and strips color profile information - though many browsers ignore color profiles anyway, and so you're just seeing what people on those browsers would see. You could either use the single photo uploader here to get them looking a bit better for people on good browsers, or change color profiles in an image edition program before uploading.)
This might also be a good trigger for Sam/Peter/Dmitry to once more look into finding a fix for this behaviour from the uploader.

thanks for the reply.
I went and had a read on the thread you attached, and the colour profile in my Photoshop was already set to sRGB.
I've tried un-ticking the box (in the save dialog box), where it says "embed color profile: (insert name of camera)", and it didn't help.
I've also tried uploading the photos using the single uploader, but it makes no difference.
What I've noticed is that the photos that come up muted and dull are photos which I've taken on my digicam (not just one, but 2 different digicams). Whereas the photos which I've taken using standard 35mm film, scanned and uploaded, contains the same bright colours with good saturation. Just wondering if there is anything to that, or if it's just coincidence.
I've just deleted all my desaturated photos. If you need to see them, I'll upload them again.

Having at least one of them available would be very good for testing, yeah. Even better if you upload one where you could link to "elsewhere on other websites" where it does show up correctly. I don't think I will be in the opportunity to do any debugging myself (currently travelling), but it certainly should help Peter (or whoever tackles this) determine what's up. (Oh, and also: what browser are you using when it doesn't show up correctly here on travellerspoint?)
