Hi Guys,
I'm planning a RTW trip starting January 2012, my original plan was to land in Rio and backpack through Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chili and Peru before heading to NZ and OZ, but now that I have to work out precise destinations and dates for my RTW ticket, I am having second thoughts: would any of you recommend starting out in Costa Rica and working my way down to Argentina?
I have about 4/5 months to spend in Central and South America, so if you have any suggestions or thoughts on the matter it would be well appreciated.
Also, if anyone is planning travelling around Central and South A at that time, it'd be a pleasure to talk and perhaps meet! (I'll be travelling alone).

Starting in Costa Rica is fine. I don't know where else to start, though. But if you already have set your mind on that, then go for it.
