Visa for Thailand

Hi,
I'm off to Thailand for the first time at the end of October and I'm a bit confused about the visa situation. Does anyone have any idea how it works as the info on the Thai Embassy website is a bit confusing!
I want to be in Thailand (and neighbouring countries) for around 3 months.. is there a visa that will allow this? Anymore info from anyone who knows would be great i.e. price of visa and if it takes a while to come through.
Any advice much appreciated

Roz,
I use the for info. Your best option might be to buy a 60 day tourist visa for $40. This will allow you to tour Tland for 60 days before leaving. Then visit the other countries on your list and come back into Tland for your flight home. You get a free 15 day entry permit when you enter via land, 30 days if you fly back.

Malaysia will issue a free 90 day visa on arrival for most countries. Cambodia will sell you a visa on arrival for $20. Laos will sell you a visa on arrival for $35. VN is the one country you need to plan ahead. You must have your VN visa before arriving at a VN border. Buy it in Phnom Penh or Vientiane. Figure about $35-40. let your GH or travel agent get it for you. You can use their visa on arrival system if you fly into VN. covers my experience flying into SaiGon.

Good luck with your planning.

You get a 30 day visa waiver on arrival by air into Thailand. Before that is up you visit another country then fly back into Thailand and you get another 30 days. You then do the same again. I've done it.

A number of cheap airlines about. AirAsia has a small office opposite KSR in Bangkok, just along from Burger King. Or book online.

Arriving by land gives you just 15 days. Note: Day of arrival and day of departure each count as one day.
