For this kind of trip a lot depends on the accomidation level you are going for. If you want a nice hotell every night then that is probably reasonable. My sister and I trecked the mountain gorillas in Uganda just 6 weeks ago and we probably spent 2000 each ( I cant remember the exact price) for a 2 week trip starting and ending in Nairobi. We went with a company called G adventures and had the basic level accomidations. the style was called participation camping. we slept in tents and ate meals prepared out of a large style overlanding truck. it was a lot of fun and I would reccomend it.

Thank you for the recommendation. I just logged on to their website and looked up the trip details. It sounds pretty good and reasonable and the good thing is that they've got these trips scheduled throughout the year. I think I'll go along with them. Thanks
