I feel abit silly for asking this but I can't get my head around round the world flights. I'm looking at RTW tickets and I'm abit confused with the duration of them, for example this has available date inc tax: 11 Aug 2012 - 30 Nov 2012: Adult Price from £1,261, book by 15 July.
The available dates by my understanding means that you can leave on your first flights between those dates for that price. Also rtw flights are normally valid for 12 months, on some occasions 16months. I booked one recently with STA travel and they were really helpful and competitive and sorted out exactly where we wanted to go with interconnecting flights.
They also for £59 a multiflex pass, which means you can change your flights up to 3 times during the 12 months. Which is handy as how do you know if you want to stay in one region longer than you originally planned before you leave?!
Best advise is book an appointment with them or trailfinders or someone like them, they would be the most helpful and you can tailor your trip to your own preference.
Hope that helps.
Dom
Ah, thanks for clearing that up!
