Is there a direct public bus between Granada and San Jorge in Nicaragua, or do I have to change buses in Managua?

The bus leaves Granada at 13:45, arriving at Rivas at 15:15 where you transfer to the connecting express bus from Managua for the last 10 minutes of the journey to San Jorge.
