Also thinking Manchester but got to wait on my house completing and getting my Visa through before I can plan anything!

The dates im looking at, are Sunday 21st October being there for tuesday morning depending on the connecting flight etc. Or some time around then.
Yes ive emailed OZ Intro and there sending me a some info so i can look into it abit better.

I'm getting to Sydney on 24th October, so I will probably be doing Oz Experience on the Mon 29th October.
I don't know anyone else out in Sydney until my friend arrives on Dec 15th and don't really know where to start!? You both thinking of working, or just travelling?

i have no idea where to start too, need to do research. Im wanting to travel and work. Hopefully do 6 weeks work then 2 weeks touring the place, thats for each place i visit.
i think i will be doing the oz intro but not 100% yet
whats ur plan? are u wanting to work or just travel?

I do think the Oz intro looks good ? Do you have your visa sorted? I am going through application process, I had to have a medical exam earlier this week. I am hoping and praying it goes ok.

Im applying for a visa hopefully this weekend didnt no we have to have a medical tho? feeling a little bit stupid now.
Yes well i was dead set on going to oz on the 21st but ive been reading alot of stuff and it sounds really expensive and pretty hard to get a job there (in sydney)... if u are on about getting a job there, so im debating if to maybe do farm work for a month then onto sydney in november least then i no the job situations sorta and will have worked adn got abit of money behind me. oh its so hard making these choices. But 100% sure im in sydney for xmas and new year

The medical is only because i have a medical condition, epilepsy, nothing major but they have to tick the T's and Dot T's or whatever it is.
I had to pay 160 pounds for my medical, hope they realise how serious i am about doing it but they could always turn down my Visa (hope not as I am selling house to do this!)
I thought about getting in and doing Sydney first as i have family there anyway, but getting in early to Sydney and trying to get job first is probably better than getting in late November.
Might look at my dates actually.
yea OZ Intro defo looking at it, i have heard different things but might be the best option.
I am hoping to do Bondi Beach on Xmas Day or at least a beach :p

Looking at the Ultimate Oz and OzIntro, what are the differences? UltimateOz seems to include the bar licence and help finding a houseshare afterwards, but can't see much difference otherwise? Too much info for me!
I've read that as it gets closer to Xmas, the jobs are harder to find as there are more people around/doing the same thing, so probably best to get to Sydney as early as possible.

STA travel do a Base accommodation pass to get either 7 or 10 nights i think it is, for a discounted rate. Might be worth looking into....I'll be getting to Syd on the Wed but not doing an arrival package til the Mon so reckon it's worth a go.
I'm looking at working for upto a year in Aus, anywhere and everywhere though. I'd like to be in Sydney til end of Jan give or take, and then East Coast, Fiji island hopping and Thailand will be somewhere along the way. No real set plans though...just see how things go/who I meet/what others plans are etc. What are you both thinking of doing?

Matt - Bondi Beach is deffo on th cards for me for xmas! Heard so many good things about it for xmas
Im thinking of just travelling anywhere in aussie, im hoping some other travellers will tell me wheres good etc then get it sorted. Im hoping to do farm work for 3 months (well on a certain farm thats in the selection) that let u have another years travelling visa, so then i can take as long as i like seeing it all.
Would really like to do thailand or fiji after aussie tho if ive got the money
Charlie - Yes im deffo doing oz intro or ultimate oz just cant decide which one at the moment, both look pretty decent tho and similar.
And i was thinking the exact same about going early just to sydney to secure a job sorta thing, because so many people are going in november.
I will look into the STA travel look pretty decent deal. And ye the flights ive been looking at i will get there for the tues as u come the day after.
Im hoping to work in aussie for a good year too, but like ive said to matt im going to try and get a 2nd year visa thingy too. Im hoping to maybe move on somewhere else in jan too probs middle tho i think, depends how im getting on in sydney. Im want to do thailand or fiji like u after hopefully i want to make plans but i know how easy they might change so im not setting stone on everything at the minute.
