europe adventure 2013

hello there,
my girlfriend and I will be leaving for our big adventure around europe in May, where we will be traveling around for about 6-10 months. We both have duel citizenship to a european country which allows us to stay for this time period. My question is regarding how much money we will be taking with us and if it will be enough.
We have budgeted $1000 euro a week between us which would last us 10 months. Is this enough? I must throw in that we have accomodation in Munich for no charge for a home base and our flights from Australia to Munich and return are already paid for.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreicated and also anything recomended to see or do anywhere in europe.
Thankyou very much
Dennis

Which is it - €1000 or $1000?
Which countries? There are a possible 47 depending on your political outlook. There are many differences in expense. It is also a mistake to think that everywhere within a country will cost the same. For example, a northern Spanish city, will be more expensive than southern Spanish city, will be more expensive than towns and villages in the countryside in the south.

For western Europe. I agree with the 'How much money do I need?' here - http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2153476

'anything recomended to see or do anywhere in europe.' Not with tens of thousands of points of interest. Do some basic research with guide books and the web and determine what interests you and what you want to see and not what interests me.

Traveling Rule of Thumb: Take twice the money and half the clothes you think you'll need.

Oh, and I love Amsterdam because it's small, dynamic, and easily enjoyed, Barcelona for all things Gaudi and the food, Paris because it's Paris.

Check out a good guidebook that tells about all the interesting places including hours they're open, entrance fees, combo passes. Rick Steve's books are excellent resources.

It depends very much on what you do. I spent a month in Europe in the Spring. My expenses varied from day to day, place to place. Sometimes I shared a hotel with friends, stayed for free with friends or paid for a hostel or hotel on my own.All together accommodation, travel, and daily necessaries cost me about 2,000.Other people can give you an idea of what they might spend. That's just a guide. You have to base your spending on your budget and preferences.
